一、前言第四纪地层的时代划分是地震地质工作的重要课题,因为确定地壳运动的时代、幅度、速度都是建立在第四纪地层的基础上。福建省境内,由于幅员辽阔的武夷——戴云隆起斜贯全省,使我省成为有名的“东南山国”。虽然大小河流纵横交错,又东濒台湾海峡,拥有三千多公里长的海岸线,然而第四纪地层的分布面积却很小。据统计,我省第四纪地层的面积约7000平方公里,占全省面积的5.8％。主要分布在河流两岸和沿海地区。

Preface The division of the epoch of the Quaternary strata is an important issue in seismic geology because the age, magnitude and velocity of the crustal movement are all based on the Quaternary stratigraphy. In Fujian Province, due to the vast Wuyi - Dai Yun uplift rampant across the province, so that our province became famous “southeast mountain country.” Although the size of the river criss-cross, and the East end of the Taiwan Strait, with more than 3,000 kilometers long coastline, but Quaternary stratigraphic distribution area is small. According to statistics, the area of Quaternary strata in our province is about 7000 square kilometers, accounting for 5.8% of the province’s area. Mainly located in the rivers and coastal areas.
