刘文典的狂,在联大是极有名的,虽说校内大师云集,被刘文典看在眼里的也不过陈寅恪、冯友兰、唐兰等几人。不独此也,刘文典还敢冒犯蒋介石。这可不是一般逸闻,而是实实实在的。鲁迅在1931年写的杂文《知难行难》有如下文字:“安徽大学校长刘文典教授,因为不称‘主席’而关了好多天,好容易才交保出外”。《鲁迅全集》在此文注释“刘文典”条下作如下说明:“一九二八年十一月,他因安徽大学学潮被蒋介石召见时,称蒋介石为‘先生’而不称‘主席’,被蒋以‘治学不严’为借口,当场拘押,同年十二月获释。”就是这么一个刘文典,后来却“栽”在闻一多手下,被迫离开联大,去了云大。
