毒蛇咬伤是热带和亚热带地区广大劳动人民的一个较严重的病害。全世界三十多亿人口中,受到毒蛇咬伤威胁的有十多亿人口。我国南方诸省广大劳动人民,在从事农业劳动、工矿勘察以及野营训练等活动中,经常发生被毒蛇咬伤的事情。江南多蛇地区的抽样调查表明,每年蛇伤的发病率可达每千人中1~3人(即0.1~0.3.%)。在南亚,如缅甸、泰国、印度等国家,发病率高的地区可达每年每千人中30人(3%)。在印度,据报导每年死于蛇伤的
Snake bites are a more serious disease of the working people in tropical and subtropical regions. Of the more than three billion people in the world, there are more than one billion people who are threatened by poisonous snake bites. The vast majority of working people in the southern provinces of China have often been bitten by poisonous snakes during their activities in agricultural labor, industrial and mining exploration and camping training.
