通州城里大小几百家缸爿（一种烧饼）店，就数小门口三爹家的生意最好，因为他做的“甜夹”好吃。其实“甜夹”就是本地产的一种烧饼，店家把白糖和盐、葱、大油等物拌在一起作馅儿（俗称兜心），然后重油擦酥，芝麻封面，火炉烘熟。其味独特，秀色可餐。于是就有了“不吃甜夹，南通算白到”的说法。
