冯忠莲(1918-2001年)是新中国古画临摹复制和木版水印事业的开拓者之一,她临摹的《清明上河图》、《虢国夫人游春图》、《长沙马王堆一号墓西汉帛画》等作品均成为国家重要文物,分别被北京故宫博物院和辽宁省博物馆收藏。冯忠莲又是国画大师陈少梅先生的夫人和学生,辅仁大学美术系高才生,绘画功底深厚。她生前长期在荣宝斋、故宫工作,晚年被聘为中央文史馆馆员。她淡泊名利,甘当无名英雄,为传承祖国古老文化献出了艺术黄金时代以至终生。今年是冯忠莲女士诞辰九十周年,本刊特发表此文,以纪念这位杰出的女画家、古画临摹专家。
Feng Zhonglian (1918-2001) was one of the trailblazers in the art of copy-painting and woodblock printing in ancient Chinese paintings. She copied “The Riverside Scene of Qingming Festival”, “The Spring Paintings of Mrs. Guo State”, “The Western Han Dynasty Painting of Mawangdui No. 1 in Changsha” "And other works have become important national artifacts, respectively, by the Beijing Palace Museum and Liaoning Provincial Museum collection. Feng Zhonglian is the wife and student of Mr. Chen Shaomei, a master of traditional Chinese painting. He is a talented student of Fine Arts Department of Fu Jen Catholic University. During her lifetime she worked in Rongbaozhai and the Forbidden City for a long time and was employed as librarian of the Central History Museum in her later years. She was fond of fame and fortune, willing to be anonymous heroes, for the inheritance of the ancient culture of the motherland gave the golden age of art and life. This year is the 90th anniversary of Ms. Feng Zhonglian’s birth. This article has been specially issued to commemorate this outstanding female painter and the expert on ancient painting copying.
