本文在讨论琼州海峡及邻域断裂对地震活动性的影响时,首次引入稳定度(β)的概念。它是指在库伦破裂准则下材料稳定程度的数字表征,其表达式为它对评价材料(或某一区域地质体)有无断裂的稳定程度具有定量研究的意义。本文通过计算海峡及邻域断裂的△β值后,得出△β值的增减对地震活动的影响跟前人所总结的地震活动性规律是相吻合的。
This paper introduces the concept of stability (β) for the first time when discussing the influence of Qiongzhou Strait and its adjacent faults on the seismicity. It refers to the digital characterization of the degree of material stability under the Coulomb failure criterion, and its expression is quantitatively studied for its stability to the presence or absence of rupture of the material (or a regional geologic body). In this paper, by calculating the △ β value of the fault in the strait and its adjacent area, it is concluded that the influence of the △ β value on the seismic activity is consistent with the seismic activity law previously summarized by the authors.
