In preparation for the 1995 International Test Conference (ITC), the Quality Test Working Group (QTAG) will formally pass a standard monitor for quiescent current test (I_ (DDQ)). This article describes the QTAG background and describes the challenges the team faces in developing and evaluating new current monitor circuits. This article also provides several possible solutions.
