当今社会生活和经济活动日益全球化,外语已经成为世界各国公民必备的基本素养之一。因此,学习和掌握外语,特别是英语,具有重要意义。而学习英语,学好英语不仅仅是学习单词或是语法而已,而是在一定的英语知识的基础上掌握一定的修辞手法,尤其是在高中英语教学中比较常见的比喻,则对英语学习起到润色的作用,使枯燥的英语教学鲜活起来。在高中英语教学过程中,面对的教学对象是具有一定英语基础知识的高中生,所以除了日常的英语知识教学,了解修辞与英语学习的关系,比喻的类型和方式特点,都将对英语的教学起到重要的促进作用。
