全国男、女子青少年水球锦标赛的举行,标志着中国水球自此进了一个崭新的发展阶段。2014年在永州和乐山分别进行了“体彩杯”全国男、女子青少年水球锦标,开启了我国水球后备人才培养的大门(在此之前我国并没有水球少年组比赛),标志着中国水球自此进了一个崭新的发展阶段。本次比赛共有天津、广西、上海、福建、成都体院、广州一中共六支队伍参加,参赛选手年龄在1998年1月1日以后出生,报名运动员8人。少年组采用单循环比赛,小场地长20米,宽15米、小球门宽2米,高80厘米,使用女子比赛规划:每队上场5名运动员(包括一名守门员)。每场比赛分上
The National Men’s and Women’s Youth Water Polo Championships marks the beginning of a new phase of development for the Chinese water polo.
