据广东农业科学部門研究和实际生产結果,証明红萍是一种优良的夏季水生绿肥。培育紅萍作肥料的好处是: (1)生长快:在六月份的气温和湿度条件下,每三、四天产量翻一番。新会县农科所六月六日放萍种250斤,到六月廿四日已达4,000多斤。六月十二日又以四分田作試驗,放萍种80斤,十天时间繁殖到700斤。 (2)肥效高:据試驗一千斤鮮紅萍相当于一千斤紫云英。
According to the results of research and actual production of agricultural sciences department in Guangdong Province, Hongping is proved to be an excellent summer green manure. The benefits of cultivating Rhizoma as a fertilizer are: (1) Rapid growth: doubled every three or four days under the conditions of temperature and humidity in June. The Xinhui County Agricultural Science Office put 250 kg of seed on June 6 and reached 4,000 kg by June 24. On June 12, another four-tenths of a field trial was conducted.
