人们对颜色的选择,对颜色词的使用,具有鲜明的民族文化特征。比如汉语说婚丧是红白大事,婚礼穿红褂,丧事披白袍;到了现代,说红色政权,白色恐怖。说明汉族的传统,红色象征美好,白色代表不吉利。跟汉民族不同的是,西方的婚纱是白色的,它恰恰象征着纯洁美好。注意到不同语言的颜色词蕴含的不同民族文化内涵,就能准确地把握和运用好相关的颜色词语,不致于在对译时闹出笑话或产生误会。中国传统的色彩序列和等次顺序是:黄红
