层序地层学提出了一个等时地层对比的概念，即在等时框架下进行地层对比，使得地层对比更具有实际的地质意义。随着陆相沉积盆地研究中层序地层学的引入，在国内引起了一些颇有争议的问题。本文就层序地层学理论在陆相沉积盆地研究中的适应性问题、陆相层序成因和具体研究工作方法问题等作了有益的探讨，旨在促进国内陆相层序地层学的发展。
Sequence stratigraphy proposed a concept of isochronous stratigraphic correlation, that is stratigraphic contrast under the isochronous framework, making stratigraphic contrast more practical geological significance. With the introduction of sequence stratigraphy in continental depositional basin research, some controversial issues have been raised in China. This paper makes a useful discussion on the adaptability of the theory of sequence stratigraphy in the study of terrestrial sedimentary basins, the genesis of terrestrial sequences and the problems of specific research methods, aiming to promote the development of terrestrial sequence stratigraphy in China.
