《青海地质》编委会于1999年6月4日在省地矿厅召开第二次会议,局总工、主编任家琪主持了会议,编辑部的同志针对近两年来《青海地质》编辑工作的进展状况、期刊经费开支情况作了总结,并对期刊目前存在的问题及今后办刊的设想作了汇报。会议通过了李长辉、童授教、刘红星、魏锦萍增补为《青海地质》编委会新成员。经编辑部推荐和编委们的审核,评选出《加大开发力度,向现代化大矿业迈进》等四篇论文为1997～1998年《青海地质》优秀论文,对获得优秀论文的作者给予了奖励和表彰。
