Thoreau retreated for two years and two months on the banks of Walden. Later, he wrote a book about the experience and experience of this secluded life called “Walden Lake”. Thoreau used a lot of space in this book to detail the life on the banks of the Walden Lake. Its central purpose is not to introduce the world’s natural scenery and cute animals. In fact, the first sentence of the author clearly tells us that he hopes this book can arouse people’s rethinking of the value of life. What was lost by mankind and what it hoped for was the great social changes of the time.
