非洲长雄蕊野生稻(O.longistaminata)80-0001具有系统分离、系统遗传、固定杂种的遗传特性。把它作为一种遗传材料,能固定种间、亚种间、品种间的第二代或近似第一代杂种,特别是固定籼稻与粳稻之间杂种,并能直接利用,意义更为重大。固定水稻杂种的育种技术比常规稻育种技术可缩短育种周期2/3.克服了杂交水稻年年制种的限制,解决了优质与高产之间的矛盾。笔者选育的能多代利用的杂交水稻品种(hybridrice),具有使用性广、技术稳定、价格便宜的优点。这种育种技术可谓快速、优质、高产、多抗育种的新途径。
O. longistaminata 80-0001 has the characteristics of systematic separation, systematic inheritance and fixed hybrid. Using it as a genetic material can fix the second generation or nearly the first generation of hybrids among species, subspecies and varieties, especially the hybrid between indica and japonica, and can directly use it, the significance is even greater. Breeding techniques of fixed rice hybrids can shorten the breeding cycle by 2/3 than conventional rice breeding techniques. Overcame the limitation of annual seed production of hybrid rice and solved the contradiction between high quality and high yield. The hybridrice that we breed for many generations can be widely used, technically stable and cheap. This breeding technology can be described as fast, high quality, high yield, multi-resistance breeding new ways.
