Using dual-phase X-ray recording, ultra-fast CT, video and animation computer software, the authors established a three-dimensional model that accurately reflects the oropharyngeal anatomy and physiology during swallowing. X-ray studies (video and CT) were performed on a volunteer (male, 35 years old, without swallowing problems). Biphasic X-ray recording is done in the cardiac catheterization room. Volunteers are supine lateral X-ray video, visual field, including the entire mouth and swallow. Three metal balls as a space positioning signs, each earlobe at one, submental midline slightly out of one. Two 30-frame / s VCRs also feature a positive X-ray recording at the same time; two video timers simultaneously code a large number of time signals at one hundredth of a second.
