上世纪90年代,内蒙古本土原创话剧创作相对中庸保守,民族戏剧的创作传统基本搁置,话剧发展相对萧条,比之于80年代,没有较大的突破。主旋律戏剧中对于真实人物素材的非艺术化处理,主题先行的创作思路,儿童剧中人物行为方式的成人化刻画,探索剧中对于时代主题和人物命运关系的把握偏颇,都是这一时期值得关注和思考的创作缺陷。
