1958年3月,在成都召开的中共中央政治局扩大会议期间,毛泽东主席到武侯祠、杜甫草堂等名胜古迹参观游览,当他看到唐代著名宰相裴度撰写的一篇碑文时,询问随行的中共山西省委第一书记陶鲁茄,说你在山西当父母官时,知道不知道中国历史上出宰相最多的一个县是哪个县?毛泽东主席接着告诉说,闻喜县在中国历史上曾出过59个宰相呢!

Chairman Mao Zedong went on to tell us that Wenxi County is in Chinese history 59 prime ministers have been out too!
