Rotigotine was developed by Schwarz Biosciences for the adjuvant treatment of early-stage secondary Parkinson’s disease and advanced Parkinson’s disease under the trade name Neupro. May 2007 US FDA approved its listing. Neupro is the first transdermal patch to treat Parkinson’s disease. Chinese name of rotigotine: (-) - (S) -2- [N-propyl-N-Parkinson disease
