山茶花的花期大都在1～3月间,花后即自行迅速地补充营养,为抽生大量春梢而积极创造条件。从5月下旬到6月上旬,绝大部分顶芽逐步分化成花芽,并很快孕育成肥实圆厚的花蕾。若6月下旬花苞尚未形成,则下一年就无花可赏了。因此,4～6月是山茶花能否按时放花的关键时期。在这3个月内必须做好三件事:一是剪除全部残枝败叶;二是加强肥水管理;三是保证充足的阳光照射。现单就日照问题谈几点看法。许多山茶花爱好者倾向于多给茶花遮荫,有人甚至早晨搬出晒太阳,中午搬进乘荫凉。如此搬来挪去,势必扰乱花木的生长节律,千万使不得。4～6月,北温带阳光热度还不太强烈,山茶完全
