Dai has shaped many marginalized people who “live outside of life.” Their “wandering” is different from the writing of other new generation writers. It is more like a competitive “escape” . Dai Lai’s novels are elaborate and sophisticated. Under the esthetic style of rational disappointment, his novels show the characteristics of “simplification” and transgender narration.
