邓锋,毕业于清华大学电子工程系,1990年到美国后,先后获南加利福尼亚大学电脑工程系硕士学位和沃顿商学院MBA学位。毕业后,在英特尔公司担任过多种技术和管理职位,在计算机系统设计和芯片设计领域拥有5项美国专利。1997年他和校友柯严利用美国最大的风险投资商红杉基金的投资,在硅谷创办NetScreen公司,4年之内公司从4个人发展到1000多人,成为世界上领先的网络安全设备供应商之一。2001年Netscreen在美国纳斯达克上市,2004年4月被JuniperNet- works以40亿美元并购。2005年夏天邓锋回国,开始做风险投资。
Deng Feng graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University. After coming to the United States in 1990, he received a master’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the Wharton School. After graduating, he held various technical and management positions at Intel Corporation and five US patents in computer system design and chip design. In 1997, he and alumnus Ke Yan used the investment of Sequoia Fund, the largest venture capital firm in the United States, to establish NetScreen in Silicon Valley. Within 4 years, the company grew from 4 to more than 1,000 and became the world’s leading network security equipment supplier one. Netscreen was listed on Nasdaq in the United States in 2001 and was acquired by Juniper Networks in April 2004 for $ 4 billion. Deng Feng returned home in the summer of 2005 and began to make venture investments.
