Ingestion of rapeseed oil has led to the growth inhibition of a variety of experimental animals, reduced fertility and some toxic or adverse reactions to heart-based visceral organs. There have been many reports and reviews since the 1950’s. In this paper, only some recent studies on the toxicity of rapeseed oil in foreign countries are summarized as follows: First, the toxicity of erucic acid and rapeseed oil Although there is some controversy, but most scholars believe that erucic acid (C_ (22: 1) n9 , Cis) content is one of the main factors that affect the toxicity of rapeseed oil.
