This article is edited by Li Junru, former vice president of the Central Party School, entitled “Nationalist Mao Zedong” in 2009. This article was published at the time of the 120th anniversary of Comrade Mao Zedong’s birth with the purpose of deeply cherishing the memory of the great achievements of the first-generation central leadership collective with Comrade Mao Zedong as the core and diligently cherish the excellent situation we have come by. The article elaborates that the Chinese Communists with Mao Zedong as the main representative can consciously insist on combining Marxism with the reality of China and can consciously insist on the connection between Marxism and patriotism and conscientiously insist on the connection between socialism and patriotism. I hope these treatises can help readers to understand more deeply that the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics has the same strain as Mao Zedong Thought and that keeps pace with the times.
