目前复合材料在航空航天、船舶、高速列车等领域的使用日益增长,复合材料与传统金属材料相比具有比强度高、比刚度高、良好的抗疲劳性能和抗腐蚀性能等优点。复合材料在飞机上使用比重也在提高。加筋板作为飞机的基础结构也逐步使用复合材料制作。复合材料加筋板主要是由蒙皮和筋条组成。由于复合材料加筋板是重要承力部件,当其内部存在蒙皮分层或筋条脱黏损伤时,为了完全或部分恢复其承载能力,需对加筋板受损部位进行相应修理。
