本文通过若干英汉文学语篇及其译文的对比分析表明：当汉语以原词复现衔接上下文时，相应的英译文以照应，替代，省略，同义／近义词复现等衔接手法衔接上下文；当英语以照应，替代，省略，同义／近义词复现衔接语篇时，汉译文往往以原词复现的衔接手法代替。这揭示了原词复现的英译规律。
