Our mentor Rudolf Carnap died on September 14, 1970. After a short period of serious illness, he died suddenly (aged 79). The world has lost one of its truly great thinkers. According to the advice of his own people (not just them), Carnap was one of the greatest logicians and philosophers of science of this century following Bertrand Russell. It is impossible to summarize his great contribution in a matter of minutes. Therefore, I now take the liberty to recall that I am enjoying it
