目前在家庭影院领域,单片式DLP投影机凭借其拥有DLP投影机色彩纯正,同时相比三片式DLP投影机又有着价格低廉、色彩更锐利等的特点,受到了众多用户的欢迎。但它面临的最大问题,就是如何解决由于采用色轮所造成的彩虹现象。而要彻底根治这个问题,则可以在显示芯片和光源部分进行改进。其中使用三片式DLP投影技术或者采用三纯色光源的结构,是最为直接而有效的解决办法。最近奥图码为此推出了采用纯度极高的单色LED光源代替以往常用的白光光源加上色轮组合的掌上投影机PK-101,这一新技术的应用象征着单片式DLP投影机将摆脱彩虹现象的阴影。
