铁道部决定,3月1日,经梅坎铁路新线,分别开行广州东至厦门、深圳至福州旅客列车。至此,广东对外交往的第四条铁路通道全面开通,粤闽往来绕道京广铁路的历史宣告结束。 梅坎铁路是沟通粤闽两省的一条捷径,它西经广梅汕铁路与京九、京广、三茂铁路相通,东经漳龙铁路同鹰厦铁路、横南铁路相连,沟通了中南、西南和华东地区。 由广梅汕公司承担的广州东至厦门2281/4和厦门至广州东的2282/3次旅客列车,广州东开20时30分,次日14时46分抵厦门;厦门开15时46分,次日9时25分抵广州东。沿途停东莞东、惠州、惠州北、河源、龙川、兴宁、梅州、大埔、永定、龙岩、漳平、郭坑、厦门等站。
The Ministry of Railways decided that on March 1, the new line of the Meikan Railway will open the passenger trains east of Guangzhou and Shenzhen to Fuzhou respectively. At this point, the fourth railroad channel for Guangdong’s foreign affairs has been fully opened up and the history of Guangdong-Beijing bypassing the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway has ended. Mei-Mei railway is a shortcut to communicate the two provinces of Guangdong and Fujian. It passes through the Guang-Mei-Shan Railway to the west of Beijing-Kowloon, Beijing-Guangzhou and San-Mao Railway. The east Zhang-Long Railway links up with Yingxia Railway and Hengnan Railway, Southwest and East China. 2281/4 from Guangzhou east to Xiamen and 2282/3 passenger trains from Xiamen to Guangzhou east borne by Guangmeishan, Guangzhou, Dongkai 20:30, Xiamen arrived at 14:46 the next day, Xiamen opened 15:46 , 9:25 the next day arrived in Guangzhou East. Dongguan, Huizhou, Huizhou North, Heyuan, Longchuan, Xingning, Meizhou, Tai Po, Yongding, Longyan, Zhangping, Guo Hang, Xiamen and other stations stopped along the way.
