The increasing penetration of people’s lives through digital and internet has inspired artists in a new age to make extensive use of digital technologies, cartoons, cartoons and animations. For half a century, this method of expression, influenced by Western pop art in the 1960s, has virtually blurred the line between art and non-art and continuously broadened the concept of art. From May 12 to July 2, 2006, “Virtual Love”, an exhibition jointly organized by the Singapore Art Museum, Shanghai Museum of Modern Art and The Bund 18, was exhibited at the Singapore Art Museum to showcase the digital and Internet age Animation art.
