1938年仲夏,我受香港《星岛日报》派遣,回到抗日烽火漫燃的祖国,采访东战场新闻,奔走闽浙赣各地。同年深秋,来到面对厦门沦陷区的闽南侨乡泉州,巧遇国民党侦骑追捕的抗日女战士谢怀丹,她是厦门沦陷前从事抗日救亡运动时我最敬佩的一位杰出女性。古城重逢,我以新闻记者身份掩护她。在抗日有罪、灾祸四伏的日子里,两个命运吉凶难卜的人联系在一起,我们相亲相爱,有了一个辗转流离居无定处的家,开始了两人共厉半个多世纪的悲欢人生。
In the midsummer of 1938, I was dispatched by Hong Kong’s Sing Tao Daily and returned to the motherland where the war against Japan flamed up. I interviewed the news on the battlefield of East China and ran all over Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi provinces. In the autumn of the same year, came to face the confrontation of Xiamen, Quanzhou, a native of Taiwanese living in southern Fujian Province, and met an anti-Japanese warrior Xuanhuai Dan, who was hunted down by the Kuomintang reconnaissance formation. She was an outstanding woman whom I admire most during the anti-Japanese national salvation movement before the fall of Xiamen. Old city reunion, I cover her as a journalist. In the days of sinful guilt and disaster, the two destinies of good and bad were linked together, and we loved each other. With a family home and away from home, we began a tragedy of over half a century Huan life.
