化疗和放射治疗通过诱发凋亡直接杀灭肿瘤细胞,达到治疗肿瘤的目的,这是在肿瘤治疗中公认的一个重要机制。但是,最近一项研究显示,死亡的肿瘤细胞能够利用细胞凋亡过程中活化的caspase-3蛋白刺激肿瘤细胞的再增殖。这一研究成果2011年7月份公布在Nature Medicine上。
Chemotherapy and radiation therapy directly kill tumor cells by inducing apoptosis to achieve the purpose of treating tumors, which is an important mechanism recognized in cancer treatment. However, a recent study showed that tumor cells that died could use the activated caspase-3 protein during apoptosis to stimulate the repopulation of tumor cells. The research results published in July 2011 in Nature Medicine.
