作品的色彩特质来自对象所呈现出的色彩效果。安岳石刻以高明度、高纯度营造色彩基础空间,以“中间色”、“调和色”构建石刻群整体色彩的多变与和谐。安岳石刻色彩的色相呈现及冷暖对比组合方式来自于中国传统色彩文化的理论基础,如“五行五色观”及“阴阳之和”理念,也受到儒、道、释观念的影响。其色彩特质与石窟文化环境及物理环境有着密切的关系。
