Project Address Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Project Area 697m ~ 2 Design House WHBC Architects This Kuala Lumpur house is like a concrete “big box” surrounded by lush tropical jungle. WHBC Architects originally designed to make it into a home that adapts to the local climate, effectively blocking the sun and rain, and simultaneously capturing the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. Because the home is located in the tropics, the design team designed the building to be a concrete “crate” structure that not only isolated the heat outdoors, but also introduced natural light into the room to create livable interior space. In addition, the lush tropical greenery can also grow through the hole-shaped structure to the house, narrowing the connection between indoor and outdoor space.
