如同一位作者所写到的那样,在目前中国美术界,美术家和批评家走得太近。这种现象的一个后果,就是批评家常常碍于情面,而丧失了“批评”的初衷和力度。从本刊收到的大量批评类来稿中我们已经发现,许多作者把批评混同于一般的理论研究,一旦谈到具体的案例或作品时,或一味吹捧,或欲言又止、顾左右而言他,诸如此类的现象屡见不鲜。这并不是一个批评家所应该持有的姿态。本期发表的几篇文章,尽管一些具体观点或有可商榷处,但都能够在不同程度上带给美术界某些思想的震荡,这便是本期推荐这几篇文章的目的所在。
