The tunneling of the tunnel across the English Channel connecting Britain to France and France dates back more than two centuries and today the undersea tunnel, now known as the “2000 Dream”, was completely cut through on June 28, 1991 (service tunnel in 1990 December in December). It is estimated that it will be put into operation by the end of 92 and is scheduled to be officially opened in June 1993. By this 63km tunnel, it will take only three hours from London to Paris.
