公安机关落实为人民服务的宗旨,应更多地体现在服务民生上。湖南省衡阳市公安局在2008年开展的创人民满意活动中,实施了一系列服务民生的有效措施,并针对人民群众对社会稳定、经济发展,司法公正、执法透明,改善服务、简化程序、从严治警、素质提升的新期待、新要求,探索从管理机制入手,以强化理念为先导,不断拓宽服务民生的新路径;以维护稳定保民平安为重点,不断提高服务民生的能力和水平;以改革创新为动力,为服务民生提供强有力的保障。
