The assimilation of different limestone containing Fe_2O_3 reagent to study the mineralogical characteristics of limestone indicates that there is little difference between the chemical compositions of limestone, however, the porosity varies greatly after heating. As the heating rate increases, the calcination rate tends to increase. 200 ℃ · min-1 is the commonly used heating rate. After heating, a melt will be generated, and the CO 2 gas is released into the molten product, deteriorating the fluidity of the melt. Inclusion of hematite-based melt adversely affects the assimilation of limestone.
