位于北部湾岸边的鴻基煤矿的职工們,战斗是英雄,生产是能手,在越南人民英勇反对帝国主义侵略和奋发建設社会主义的伟大史詩上都写下了光輝的篇章。煤都职工去年在生产和战斗中又連战皆捷:克服种种困难,創造开采三百二十万吨净煤的新紀录;配合人民軍,在8月5日击落美帝国主义飞机两架,击伤多架,并活捉一个美国飞行員。現在整个矿区的职工們正高举紅旗,一手拿鎬,一手拿枪,百倍警惕,时刻准备歼灭胆敢再来侵犯的美国强盜。
The workers in Hongji Coal Mine, located on the banks of the Beibu Gulf, have fought heroically and their production is a master. They wrote a brilliant chapter on the heroic courage of the Vietnamese people in opposing the imperialist aggression and in building socialism. Last year, coal workers allied themselves to fight the enemy both in production and in fighting last year: surmounting various difficulties and creating a new record for mining 3.2 million tons of clean coal; and in coordination with the People’s Army, they shot down two U.S.-Italian aircraft on August 5 , Wounded more than one, and captured a U.S. pilot. Now workers in the mining area are holding high red flags, pick their picks in one hand and guard their guns in the other. They are always prepared to annihilate American robbers who dare to infringe upon again.
