This paper introduces the improvement process of the middle tank nozzle of the billet continuous casting machine, and studies the influence of the [Mn] content in the molten steel and the service life of ZrO 2 in the nozzle on the service life of the nozzle. The economic benefit analysis of the nozzle service life is made.
