The definition of fulminant hepatic failure (FHF) by Trey and Davidson is based on the occurrence of hepatic encephalopathy within 8 weeks of the initial appearance of liver disease, which has drawn some attention according to the literature on the clinical features, duration and prognosis of these cases. However, the history of hepatic encephalopathy longer before the same with FHF patients with no past history of liver disease has not been given enough attention.The disease has used the disease name, including subacute or subchronic liver atrophy, subacute hepatitis, subacute (fatal ) Hepatitis and subacute hepatic necrosis. The etiology of most cases is considered to be due to certain clinical features
