The authors used colloidal immunolabeling to analyze the differences in the growth and differentiation of somatotropin and prolactin cells in the distal part of normal and pygmy mice at electron microscopy. The experimental results are as follows: Into the rat (March to April): under electron microscopy, GH cells are round or oval, with large and round electron density of the secretory granules. Particles scattered in the cytoplasm, and GH antiserum (anti-GH) reacted strongly. PRL cells are polygonal or star-shaped, and the electron density of secretory granules is similar to the electron density of GH granules.
