在晚期马克思主义者大卫·哈维看来,作为西方主流意识形态的新自由主义,其实质不过是资产阶级利用空间发展的不平衡性在世界范围内进行的资本主义重组。哈维从三个维度对新自由主义进行了批判,但由于他将空间生产作为“新现象”从资本主义生产的历史过程中剥离出来,把现象当作了本质,因而只能得出资本主义处于并将长期处于“超稳定状态”的结论,难以发现资本主义必然灭亡的线索。
In the view of late Marxist David Harvey, the essence of neo-liberalism as the mainstream ideology in the West is nothing more than the capitalist reorganization that the bourgeoisie has taken advantage of the unbalanced development of space in the world. Harvey criticized neoliberalism in three dimensions. However, since he peeled off the production of space as the “new phenomenon” from the historical process of capitalist production and took the phenomenon as an essence, he can only draw Capitalism is in the midst of a long-term “ultra-stable state,” and it is hard to find clues to the inevitable demise of capitalism.
