构造方法就是根据题设条件或结论所具有的特征、性质、构造出满足条件或结论的数学对象,借助该对象解决数学问题的方法。根据题设条件和结论的特征、性质展开联想,从一个目标联想到我们曾经使用过可能达到目的的办法、手段进而构造出解决问题的特殊模式,这就是构造法解题的思路。构造法能使问题的解决显得直观明了,这是构造法最大的特点。如何构造对象、构造怎样的对象是构造法的关键与其灵魂所在,也是实施构造法的最大难点
