Objective To investigate the value of seamless nursing in elderly patients with coronary atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD). Methods Sixty-six elderly patients with CHD admitted to Central Hospital of Pulandian in Liaoning Province between October 2014 and October 2015 were selected as study subjects, and divided into control group and seamless nursing group according to different nursing methods, with 33 cases in each group. Patients in the control group were given routine care. Patients in the seamless care group were given seamless nursing interventions. The improvement of angina pectoris, quality of life and cardiovascular adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results In the seamless nursing group, the steady state of angina pectoris, the onset of disease, the degree of disease cognition, the degree of physical activity limitation and the satisfaction degree of treatment were all significantly higher than those of the control group (all P <0.05) (P <0.05). The incidence of adverse cardiovascular events in patients in seamless care group was significantly higher than that in control group (all P <0.05). The incidence of cardiovascular adverse reactions in patients in seamless care group was significantly higher than that in control group Lower than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion The effect of seamless nursing on elderly CHD patients is significant, which can effectively improve the symptoms of angina, improve the quality of life of patients and reduce the incidence of adverse cardiovascular events.
