(Dryburgh Abbey)
The development of modern cable-stayed bridges began after 1950. As early as 1784 the same concept was proposed by the German carpenter Loscher. Luscher’s scheme is a bridge that is pulled by a wooden pull attached to a wooden tower. In 1821 the French architect Poyet proposed the use of steel rods suspended from the tower program. 1840 British Hatley (Hatley) proposed the use of parallel arrangement of the zipper. Undoubtedly, the reason is that some of the early cable-stayed bridges collapsed. In 1818, England’s Dryburgh Abbey
