In 1985, I transferred from a provincial-level chemical design institute to a large-scale enterprise in Shanghai. When I reported to the personnel department, the HR department of the enterprise invited me to talk with me at the factory’s director of office. They told me What I lack in this enterprise is the management cadre. After studying and researching, I decided to leave the file management work in the archives division of the factory. The director of the office told me how to choose my course and left the most impressive remark: “The file room is in a very good environment. If you love this work, you can do it all your life.” At that time, I did not have any idea about the work of archives, but it was not easy for me to transfer myself from overseas to Shanghai.
