新闻报道的指导性,是我们党的报纸的传统,党的领导机关要通过报纸推动党的方针、政策的贯彻,宣传建设事业的成就和各项工作的成绩,指出存在的问题,纠正工作中的偏向。但是,这些报道内容,特别是有关经济工作的内容,因具有较强的专业技术性,又大都与普通群众没有直接联系,对一般读者来说,缺少共同兴趣,因此难免产生枯燥之感。这样,就使新闻报道的指导性与报纸的可读性之间存在着矛盾。这是从事经济报道的记者多年来为之苦恼的问题。往往出现这样的情况:报纸的指导性强了,读者反映报纸的内容没有味道;而读者爱读的东西多了,又会因为削弱了指导性而受到有关领导部门的责备。
