徐浩(703-782年),唐越州(今浙江绍兴)人,字季海。官至彭王傅、会稽公、太子少师,人称徐会稽。工正、行、八分书。其祖父师道,父峤之,皆为著名书法家。徐浩少年时就精于书法、初得父峤之法,精于楷书,圆劲厚重,自成一家。黄庭坚云:“季海长处正是暮年,乃更摆落王氏规摹,自成一家”(《山谷题跋》)。肃宗时,徐浩官至中书舍人,当时天下事务繁复。诏令多出自其手。他文词华丽,又工书法,深得肃宗宠爱。晚年书法趋于圆熟,楷书宗二王,受小王(献之)影响尤深。尝书四十二幅屏,八体兼备,尤工草隶。米芾《海岳名言》云:“开元以来缘明皇字体 Xu Hao (703 - 782 years), Tang Yue state (now Zhejiang Shaoxing) people, word Jihai.
