“Aftermath of Robbery - Principles of Chicago ” (Justice after Conflict) provides the basic guidelines for the formulation and implementation of policies to deal with past atrocities. These principles are the result of a series of conferences and consultations involving famous scholars, judges, journalists, religious leaders and others over the past seven years. The principle was developed to promote international campaigns that deal with past violations of human rights and humanitarian law. Post-disaster justice contains a fundamental commitment to the absolute sacredness and intrinsic worth of truth, peace, reconciliation, victim’s rights and human life.
